Description
Part of the Greenwich “Building Schools for the Future” programme, this large secondary school in Eltham, built on King Henry VIII’s hunting grounds, was completed in May 2011.
Pyramid Builders Ltd built 10 separate college buildings, which included the design of the masonry support and lintels. Over 500,000 Ouid Zuid bricks, specifically imported from the Netherlands, were used in the construction process. Pyramid Builders Ltd also built the internal blockwork to the cores and sports hall.
This was a large project, with Pyramid Builders Ltd implementing a system where each building was self-sufficient with their own project manager, logicistics manager and tradesmen. This enabled them to be built concurrently, achieving maximum efficiency within the program.
